Dog in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Dogs
What it means
A friend (if the dog belongs to you in the dream); in a positive context a living dog signifies hope.
If you dream of a dog but don't feel right about it — a person close to you who is a bad influence.
In a negative context: hopelessness, uncleanliness, an unbeliever; also means whoring.
✦ When it is positive
- A friend or close companion
- Hope (a living dog is better than a dead lion — Ecclesiastes 9:4)
⚠ When it is a warning
- A person close to you who is a bad influence
- Hopelessness (Mephibosheth calling himself a dead dog)
- Uncleanliness — an unbeliever (unclean on the inside and outside like a dog without divided hoofs or cud-chewing)
- Whoring
How to tell the difference
The feeling in the dream is the key — does the dog feel like yours and positive, or does something feel wrong about it?
