Pyramid in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Triangular monument, Three-dimensional triangle, Pyramids
What it means
A structure built to house the mummified body of a dead pharaoh — representing stray worship, worship redirected from God to Egyptian and worldly systems. Biblically, Egypt represents going down to the world.
Man-made structures; the idolising of man's work; the vanity of human glory.
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help, and stay on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many.
✦ When it is positive
- IN A POSITIVE-CONTEXT DREAM: a pyramid — a shape with a flat base and triangular faces meeting at an apex — may represent God's nature, His tripartite being and His majesty. It has stood the test of time, does not easily break, and remains a strong object.
⚠ When it is a warning
- Man-made religion
- Trading God's glory for myths and legends
- Turning to the world for help
How to tell the difference
TWO OPPOSITE READINGS depending on tone. A dark or oppressive pyramid dream points to Egypt, the world system and misdirected worship. A bright, awe-filled one may point to God's majesty and unchanging strength. Establish the tone before interpreting.
