Steam in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Vapor, Vapour, Boiling steam, Mist rising
What it means
Vanity; what soon disappears; hopelessness and distraction.
God's control over nature — He draws up the drops of water which distil as rain.
Life is a vapour that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away. Steam pictures the brevity of what seems substantial.
✦ When it is positive
- God's creative power and control over the elements
⚠ When it is a warning
- Vanity and emptiness
- Distraction
- Smoke rising as of a great furnace, representing what is demonic
How to tell the difference
Distinguish steam that rises and vanishes (vanity, brevity) from smoke that darkens the air (judgment or the demonic — see Smoke). Note whether the steam obscures the dreamer's sight.
