Veil of the Temple in a dream

Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa

Also: Temple veil, Torn curtain, The veil, Rent veil

What it means

The barrier between God and man.

The end of that which was closed off from man in relation to God's presence.

The veil was torn from the top downward — the opening was made from God's side, not man's.

✦ When it is positive

  • A veil torn apart, representing a way opened to approach God

⚠ When it is a warning

  • An intact veil, representing a barrier between God and man, or a sin problem that separates

How to tell the difference

Note the direction and agent of the tearing. A veil torn from above indicates God opening the way. A veil the dreamer tries to tear or push through indicates an attempt to approach God on one's own terms. A veil worn on a person is a different symbol — see Veil under clothing.

Scripture

The veil shall separate the holy place from the most holy for you.
