Bones in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Framework of body, Dry bones, Bone
What it means
Lifelessness, hopelessness and despair.
What has been lost; dryness.
Can these bones live? The valley of dry bones was not a picture of what was finished but of what God intended to raise.
✦ When it is positive
- Bone of my bone, representing oneness, a shared life, and a life partner
- Dry bones being joined and raised, representing restoration of what looked finished
⚠ When it is a warning
- Absence of life
- No hope
- A hard situation
- A broken spirit that drieth the bones
How to tell the difference
Note the CONDITION of the bones — dry, broken, joined, clothed with flesh. Bones in Scripture move from death toward resurrection, so a dream of bones is rarely a final verdict. Note also whether breath or wind enters them.
Scripture
The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of Man.”
Genesis 2:23 (WEB)

Proverbs 17:22 (WEB)
