Bread of the Presence in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Showbread, Shewbread, Bread of the face, Twelve loaves
What it means
Intimate fellowship in God's presence.
Jesus as the source of true life, the bread of life.
Twelve loaves were set before the Lord continually, one for each tribe — the whole people kept perpetually before His face.
✦ When it is positive
- Christ as the dreamer's sustenance
- Continual fellowship rather than occasional visitation
- Bread lawfully eaten in need, as David ate it
⚠ When it is a warning
- Presuming upon what is holy
- Bread set out but never eaten
How to tell the difference
This bread was set upon a blue cloth, and blue represents what is heavenly. It is called the bread of the FACE — its meaning is presence and fellowship, not merely provision. Distinguish it from ordinary Bread and from Manna, which is daily supply.
