Coins in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Loose change, Small money, Pennies, Silver coins
What it means
Human value; favour; being entrusted with material gain; stewardship.
Influence, responsibility and accountability.
Occupy till I come. The pounds were not gifts to keep but capital to trade with, and each servant answered for what he did with them.
✦ When it is positive
- Influence over people represented as coins
- Being expected to multiply what has been entrusted
- Financial abundance
- The widow's two mites, where small value given wholly counts as most
⚠ When it is a warning
- Burying what was entrusted rather than trading with it
- Value measured only by amount
How to tell the difference
THE AMOUNT IS RARELY THE POINT — the widow gave least and was commended most. Note what the dreamer DOES with the coins: trades, buries, gives, or counts them.
Scripture
11As they heard these things, he went on and told a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that God’s Kingdom would be revealed immediately. 12He said therefore, “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. 13He called ten servants of his and gave them ten mina coins, and told them, ‘Conduct business until I come.’ 14But his citizens hated him, and sent an envoy after him, saying, ‘We don’t want this man to reign over us.’

1He looked up and saw the rich people who were putting their gifts into the treasury. 2He saw a certain poor widow casting in two small brass coins. 3He said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow put in more than all of them, 4for all these put in gifts for God from their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, put in all that she had to live on.”
Luke 21:1-4 (WEB)
14“For it is like a man going into another country, who called his own servants and entrusted his goods to them. 15To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey. 16Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.
