Debtor in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: One who owes, In debt to someone, Owing a duty
What it means
One under duty and obligation to God and to men.
Sin and forgiveness; moral and spiritual obligation.
I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. Paul's debt was not money but the gospel he had been entrusted with.
✦ When it is positive
- A call to serve
- Laying down one's life for others
- Owing the gospel to those who have not heard
⚠ When it is a warning
- Owing service to God and to people and not rendering it
How to tell the difference
DISTINGUISH THE DEBTOR (a person under obligation, often a good one) from DEBT (financial bondage and lost freedom). Paul's debtorship was a commission, not a burden. Note to whom the debt is owed.
Scripture
I am debtor both to Greeks and to foreigners, both to the wise and to the foolish.

Romans 8:12 (WEB)
23Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24When he had begun to settle, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26The servant therefore fell down and knelt before him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!’
