Descending in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Going down, Walking down, Coming down, Descent
What it means
Demotion; a level lower than the dreamer's own; something beneath them.
Compromising, settling, and downgrading.
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help, and stay on horses. Going down in Scripture often marks turning to a lesser source in a time of pressure.
✦ When it is positive
- A descent made in obedience rather than in retreat
⚠ When it is a warning
- Leaving one's given position for something less
- Settling for less than what was appointed
- Going down for help to what cannot save
How to tell the difference
THIS DOES NOT APPLY to a person, an angel or an entity coming down out of heaven. In that case something or someone has been dispatched from heaven to the dreamer, and the dream is about visitation rather than demotion. Establish the ORIGIN of the descent before reading it.
