Climbing in a dream

Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa

Also: Ascending, Scaling a height, Going up, Climbing up

What it means

Personal effort required to ascend to something; working one's way up; an upgrade.

Being elevated; moving to a different level.

Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart. Ascent in Scripture is qualified by condition, not only by effort.

✦ When it is positive

  • Ascending to new heights through personal effort
  • Being made to walk upon high places, where the elevation is given rather than seized

⚠ When it is a warning

  • The work of the flesh; striving and toiling
  • Building a tower to reach heaven by human effort
  • Labouring in vain where the Lord has not built

How to tell the difference

The TONE decides the reading. A peaceful, colourful or warm climb, or climbing up out of a stressful or demanding situation, is positive. A climb that is stressful, laboured or hard is striving and toiling in the flesh. Note also what is being climbed and whether anyone helps.
