Repenting in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Turning back, Confession, Repentance, Confessing sin
What it means
Turning away from sin; returning to God; humbling oneself before Him.
Consecration; dedicating oneself; surrendering, committing, and offering oneself as a living sacrifice.
Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of. The grief that turns a person is different from the grief that only torments them.
✦ When it is positive
- Turning from sin to holiness
- Walking in sanctification
- Consecration
- Offering one's members to God
⚠ When it is a warning
- Sorrow that does not turn
- Confession without forsaking
How to tell the difference
Note whether the repentance in the dream is completed. Repentance begun and interrupted may point to something the dreamer has acknowledged but not yet turned from.
