Seal in a dream

Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa

Also: Signet ring, Wax seal, Sealed document, Signet

What it means

A signet ring represents granted authority, approved work and ownership; a wax seal represents a message divinely sealed and protected until it reaches the one it is intended for.

The signet carried the authority of the one who owned it — whoever held it acted in the king's name.

A sealed document could not lawfully be opened by anyone except the intended recipient, which is why the sealed scroll in Revelation required One found worthy to open it.

✦ When it is positive

A signet ring received, representing delegated authority and identity
A wax seal, representing a message kept intact until it reaches the person it belongs to

⚠ When it is a warning

A signet ring taken away, representing authority withdrawn
A wax seal on a message the dreamer is not permitted to open

How to tell the difference

Distinguish the signet ring, which concerns AUTHORITY, from the wax seal, which concerns TIMING and RIGHTFUL ACCESS. If the dreamer cannot open a sealed thing, the dream concerns something not yet released to them rather than something withheld in judgment.
