Sling in a dream

Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa

Also: Slingshot, David's sling, Sling and stone

What it means

A stone in the centre of a sling represents a mighty man in the hands of God; the sling itself represents faith and skill.

Readiness; a catapult; a sweeping motion; lifting toward purpose.

There were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could sling stones at an hair breadth, and not miss. The sling is a weapon of precision, not of force.

✦ When it is positive

  • Faith
  • Strength to overcome
  • Power
  • Being ready

⚠ When it is a warning

  • A stone slung out from the centre of the sling, representing one rejected — the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out

How to tell the difference

A STONE HELD IN THE SLING represents a life kept safe and tucked away by God until the time it is to be catapulted for His glory. A STONE SLUNG OUT of the centre represents one rejected. Note which the dream shows — held or released, and by whom.
