What it means

Authority over restricted opportunities; uncommon favour; access to exclusive spaces; setting captives free.

The ability to break barriers; overcoming limitations; the revealing of spiritual truths.

The key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut. What God opens does not need defending.

How to tell the difference

Note WHO does the unlocking. If a prominent figure, a keeper, or one with keys opens the way, this represents God granting access. If the dreamer forces a lock, examine whether the access is rightfully theirs.
