Beggar in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Begging, Asking for money, Homeless person asking, Someone begging
What it means
A spiritually bankrupt person; one in need of spiritual help.
One in need of another's help; a broken and needy person.
Blind Bartimaeus sat by the highway side begging, and would not be silenced. The lame man at the Beautiful gate asked for alms and received something better.
✦ When it is positive
- Being called to help someone
- An opportunity to help
- Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee
⚠ When it is a warning
- A beggar who seems shrewd or deceptive in a dream of negative tone, where the dreamer gives money
How to tell the difference
COMPASSION IS THE DEFAULT READING. Where the tone of the dream is warm or sorrowful and the need appears genuine, this is a call to help — Bartimaeus and the lame man at the Beautiful gate were both beggars who received from God, not threats to be resisted. Do not read every beggar as an attack. THE EXCEPTION: where the tone of the dream is negative, or the beggar seems shrewd or deceiving, AND the dreamer GIVES THEM MONEY, this represents a direct demonic attack on the dreamer's finances. On waking, the dreamer should cancel that spiritual consent and close the open door to their finances. All three conditions must be present together before the dream is read this way.
Scripture
46They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road. 47When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!” 48Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he cried out much more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!” 49Jesus stood still and said, “Call him.” They called the blind man, saying to him, “Cheer up! Get up. He is calling you!”

Yes, even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22The beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
