A final end; the termination of access; the deliberate sealing off of an opportunity, relationship or phase of life.

Protection from external intrusion; the finality of judgment; setting firm boundaries; safeguarding what is within.

The Lord shut him in. The same closed door that ended one thing preserved everything inside it.

How to tell the difference

When God closes a door, human effort cannot force it open without consequence; conversely, closing a door prematurely out of fear or pride can stifle growth and destiny. Note WHO closes it and whether the dreamer is inside or outside when it shuts.
