Being Late in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Running behind time, Missed timing, Arriving late, Too late
What it means
Missing one's appointed season; missing one's appointed time.
Missing a window of opportunity.
The door was shut, and afterward came also the other virgins saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. Lateness in Scripture is usually about preparation made beforehand, not speed on the day.
✦ When it is positive
- Arriving late but still received, which points to mercy rather than merit
⚠ When it is a warning
- Missing one's season
- Arriving after the door has shut
How to tell the difference
Note WHAT the dreamer is late for and WHY. Lateness caused by delay elsewhere points to distraction; lateness caused by unpreparedness points to something that should have been attended to earlier. Redeem the time.
Scripture
1“Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them, 4but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
