Falling Asleep in a Dream in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Dozing off, Spiritual slumber, Sleeping in a dream, Asleep within the dream
What it means
Being spiritually complacent, spiritually lazy, or in spiritual drowsiness.
A call to be spiritually awake.
Could ye not watch with me one hour? Sleep in Scripture is rarely condemned as rest — it is condemned as absence at the hour when presence was needed.
✦ When it is positive
- Peaceful sleep in a positive tone while everything around the dreamer falls apart, representing rest in the midst of trouble
⚠ When it is a warning
- Sleep in the midst of spiritual warfare, in a dark tone or negative context, representing spiritual dullness and complacency toward what is happening around the dreamer or to their life
How to tell the difference
THE TONE DECIDES. Sleep amid chaos in a peaceful dream is the rest of faith, as Christ slept in the storm. Sleep amid warfare in a dark dream is slumber that needs waking. Note what is happening around the sleeping dreamer.
