Being Unable to Move in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Paralyzed in dream, Stuck, Sleep paralysis, Cannot move, Frozen in a dream
What it means
Spiritual oppression — where the dreamer is held in a dream, this signals spiritual paralysis and indicates spiritual warfare.
The body is held while the mind is awake, which is why this is experienced as fear. The fear is part of the attack, not evidence of its power.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night. Scripture addresses this specific hour directly.
✦ When it is positive
- Waking and immediately calling on the Name, which ends the episode
⚠ When it is a warning
- Spiritual oppression
- Being held and unable to respond
How to tell the difference
COUNSEL FOR THE DREAMER: use the Name of Jesus over the bedroom, and plead the blood of Jesus in the room — over the walls, the bed and the pillows. The Bible says Jesus has made us kings and priests unto God (Revelation 1:6), which means the believer has the right to plead His blood. He giveth His beloved sleep; the dreamer should not be left in fear but established in authority.
