Goat Slaughter in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Umhlatshelo, Ritual slaughter, Killing a goat, Slaughtering a beast
What it means
A familiar spirit's call or request for a ritual.
A spiritual connection being sought and created.
The sacrifice identifies whom it is offered to. Where the recipient is not God, the transaction is with something else — the sacrifices of the Gentiles are offered to devils, and not to God.
✦ When it is positive
- If the goat is given to the dreamer to slaughter and the dream ends WITHOUT the slaughter being carried out, this means victory
⚠ When it is a warning
- If the dreamer is given the goat and slaughters it within the dream, they have consented to the influence or agreement the familiar spirit or spirits were seeking to establish
How to tell the difference
Where consent was given in the dream, the dreamer is more likely to experience worse dreams and oppression from that point, unless they renounce and cast these spirits from their life. This is not cause for fear: for those in Christ they cannot establish a covenant, because Christ's covenant already secures the believer — they may only seek a spiritual influence, deceptive agreement or foothold, and no such influence can stand once renounced. Direct the dreamer to renunciation and to pastoral support, never to alarm.
Scripture
They shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat idols, after which they play the prostitute. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.’
Leviticus 17:7 (WEB)

Deuteronomy 32:17 (WEB)
20But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I don’t desire that you would have fellowship with demons. 21You can’t both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can’t both partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.
1 Corinthians 10:20-21 (WEB)
But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
