Kneeling in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: On the knees, Bowing the knee, Kneeling down, Bended knee
What it means
An act of worship; submission, surrender and yielding.
Humility; honouring God's sovereignty.
At the name of Jesus every knee should bow. The knee is the first thing to bend where authority is truly recognised.
✦ When it is positive
- Worship
- Prayer
- Honouring God
- Yielding willingly
⚠ When it is a warning
- Kneeling from weakness rather than reverence — the body without strength
- Bowing the knee to what is not God
How to tell the difference
Note WHO or WHAT the dreamer kneels before, and whether the kneeling is chosen or forced. Kneeling before God is worship; kneeling before another figure should be examined. Kneeling from collapse is a different symbol — see Being Unable to Move.
