How to tell the difference

FELT DISCONNECTION IS NOT ACTUAL ABANDONMENT. Psalm 22 opens with forsakenness and ends in praise. The counsel is return to prayer and the Word, never the conclusion that God has left. See Dry Season for the same experience across a longer period.
