Silver Cord in a dream

Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa

What it means

Life — the chain that holds the golden bowl (the lamp of life). When it snaps, it represents death and the eternal disintegration of the human spirit from the body.

Based on Ecclesiastes 12:6 — 'before the silver cord is snapped, the golden bowl is broken.'

✦ When it is positive

Dreaming of a chain intact = life and vitality

⚠ When it is a warning

A breaking or broken chain/cord = death approaching — pray immediately

How to tell the difference

The silver cord is the chain that suspends the golden bowl (lamp of life) in Ecclesiastes 12:6. When it snaps the lamp of life falls and breaks — representing death. In ancient homes and temples, lamps were suspended over bowls by a chain/cord.

Scripture

before the silver cord is severed, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is broken at the spring, or the wheel broken at the cistern,
