Waiting in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Patient expectation, Standing by, Waiting on God, Standing and waiting
What it means
Holding one's position; standing in faith; being steadfast and unmovable.
Being expectant; exercising faith with patience.
They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Waiting in Scripture is an active posture, not an absence of activity.
✦ When it is positive
- Trusting God
- Exercising faith
- Practising patience
- Renewed strength given to those who wait
⚠ When it is a warning
- Delaying oneself
- Wasting time
- Waiting where God has already said go
How to tell the difference
Distinguish WAITING ON GOD from DELAY. Waiting with peace points to faith; waiting with frustration or with an open door already before the dreamer may point to hesitation. Note whether anyone is waited for, and whether they come.
