Carrying a Load in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Carrying a burden, Heavy load, Bearing a weight, Carrying something heavy
What it means
Being burdened; guilt; condemnation; being overcome by sin.
A weight of problems; a heavy situation on the shoulders; carrying too much responsibility.
Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us. Some loads are to be carried and some are to be laid down, and the dream usually shows which.
✦ When it is positive
- A load willingly shared, since we are to bear one another's burdens
- A load laid down at Christ's invitation — His yoke is easy and His burden light
⚠ When it is a warning
- Being weighed down
- Carrying more than was given to the dreamer
- A heavy weight of stress
How to tell the difference
Note WHOSE load it is and whether anyone helps carry it. A load that is not the dreamer's own may point to responsibility taken on that was never theirs. Note also whether the dreamer is invited to set it down.
