Intelezi: meaning in the Bible and in dreams

Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa

Also: Protective muti, Sprinkling muti, Ritual protection mixture

What is intelezi?

Intelezi is a protective muthi, sprinkled or used for cleansing, mainly to rid a home of utokoloshe and of ischitho (the curse of ill luck or bad blood).

In the Bible, the cleansing of the flesh cannot perfect what belongs to the spirit. Christ has cleansed the believer completely: “How much more will the blood of Christ… cleanse your conscience” (Hebrews 9:14).

In a dream, the counsel is to rest in a cleansing already perfect rather than to seek one that deals only with the flesh. The full meaning follows below.

What it means in a dream

A muthi used primarily to rid a home of utokoloshe and of ischitho — the curse of ill luck or bad blood.

Ritualistic and ancestral cleansing, tied to ancestral initiation and typically requiring impepho to perform.

The cleansing of the flesh cannot perfect what belongs to the spirit. Christ has cleansed the believer spiritually, and that cleansing is complete.

✦ When it is positive

The blood of Christ purging the conscience — a cleansing that ritual cannot imitate or improve

⚠ When it is a warning

Ritual cleansing sought in place of the cleansing already given in Christ
Practice tied to ancestral initiation

How to tell the difference

The point of contrast is COMPLETENESS. How much more shall the blood of Christ purge your conscience? Where intelezi appears in a believer's dream, the counsel is to rest in a cleansing already perfect rather than to seek one that deals only with the flesh.

Scripture
