Knot in a dream
Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa
Also: Tied cord, Tangled knot, Knotted rope, Knots
What it means
Binding, the tying of cords, and the making of vows. Daniel is described as having the supernatural ability to loose knots — rendered in modern versions as solving difficult problems or dissolving doubts.
Marriage, agreement and strength. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.
If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, he shall not break his word — the knot in Scripture is often the vow itself.
✦ When it is positive
- Oneness
- Harmony
- Agreement
- The God-given ability to loose what others cannot untangle
⚠ When it is a warning
- A heavy demonic riddle or a complicated curse — noting that muthi, African witchcraft potions, are tied in knots
How to tell the difference
CHRISTIANS SHOULD NOT FEAR MUTHI, because God promises invincibility against it: 'Surely there is no enchantment with or against Jacob, neither is there any divination with or against Israel. In due season it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What has God wrought!' (Numbers 23:23 AMPC). Note whether the dreamer ties, unties, or is bound by the knot.
