Snuff in a dream

Biblical meaning from Hearing God's Voice in Dreams by Apostle Nicholas V. Mbanjwa

Also: Ugwayi, Ground tobacco, Snuff tobacco, Sniffing snuff

What it means

A powdered tobacco used in traditional Nguni ritual to appease, invoke or communicate with ancestors (abadala).

A gesture of respect; a medium of exchange or communication with the spiritual realm; the opening of dialogue with familiar spirits.

Culturally, snuff can be a social habit or a mark of respect among elders. Its RITUAL application, however, functions as a spiritual sacrifice or bridge to the dead, and is doctrinally incompatible with biblical worship.

⚠ When it is a warning

  • Used as a ritual offering poured on the floor, or inhaled to summon and commune with familiar spirits disguised as ancestors
  • Serving as a physical anchor for spiritual altars such as the umsamo

How to tell the difference

Dreaming of a BELIEVER sniffing snuff, where the dreamer knows that person would not do so in reality, represents that believer in a state of spiritual compromise which will leave them open to demonic attack. The counsel is prayer for that person, not accusation of them.
